Chris' Weihnachstgrüße 2011

DAS Thema der Vorweihnachtszeit war diesmal natürlich "A Very Murray Christmas".

Hallo an alle!

In diesem Sinne,

Frohe Weihnachten!

Euer Chris

Hey Ho Everybody!

What a busy year this was, I keep bringing that boy home from the barricades, but he just keeps getting into trouble so off I plod to get him back again - but with the great difference that he first gets lost again AFTER Christmas. For in this year I have the wonderful privilege to be able to spend the Christmas holidays at home with family and friends. Very cool. I sincerely wish that you are able to enjoy that luxury too (naturally with lots of loot and cookies and Christmas fun!)

My Christmas CD “A Very Murray Christmas”, which took up a lot of my time in the advent’s season, has, much to the great joy of Phil and I, been received very well and we have heard from so many of you with such heartwarming words and great reviews from the critics. Wow, this surpassed our greatest expectations. Thank you. I hope that the CD brought a little ember of the Christmas spirit into your heart and ignited some Christmas cheer.

The next year brings many new and interesting challenges. I am especially thrilled to be singing Shylock in a new Musical theater adaptation of Shakespeare’s “the Merchant of Venice” by KS Brigitte Fassbaender followed by another world premier called “Frederick the Great - Triumph and Tragedy” in Potsdam where he lived and is buried in which I will be doing Frederick himself. Finally a summer at home as Potsdam is 2 min from Berlin :-). But before all the hustle and bustle of the new year begins I want to thank you all for your support with this little video of pictures I took in Innsbruck on the Christmas market. Remember, it is a conscious decision to try and be happy. Material things may make being unhappy quite comfortable but they will not make you truly happy on their own. Every single one of us has to make the decision to try and be happy. Choice is truly our only real power in this world. May you carry a small ember of “Spirit of Christmas” in you all year round that it might warm you from within in the colder moments to come.

All the best and

Merry Christmas!

Chris
